Shelley Barratt is currently a Featured Artist at Rescue Records, and, keep an ear out while at the movies as "Goodbye" (Muriel Sweetsong), will be featured as part of February 2009 Cinemasounds in theatres across the country.

Origin of Flight was signed to Rescue Records for music licensing in 2008.

ALBUQUERQUE ARTIST SHELLEY BARRATT SONG PLAYED IN THEATRES NATIONWIDE DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – January 21, 2009

Heading to the movies in February? Keep an ear out for local musician Shelley Barratt’s song, "Goodbye" (Muriel Sweetsong,) to be included in the February 2009 Cinemasounds programming. The song will be featured in over 6,500 movie theatres across the country, including Regal, AMC, UA, Edwards, and more. Listeners may visit the Cinemasounds website and leave a comment about hearing the song.

The song is from Shelley’s album, Origin of Flight, signed to Rescue Records, an independent record company out of Pasadena, CA, for music licensing purposes. Shelley’s profile is currently featured on the Rescue Records website front page. Shelley came to Rescue Records by way of Terri Lynn Rosa, A&R Manager, when the Shelley Barratt Band performed at last year’s Hyperactive Music Festival.

Shelley now plays with Bob Reynolds, Jimmy LaPrelle, Gladys Tangub, and Marc Miller as the Shelley Barratt Band: writing, recording, and performing music from the heart that continues to appeal to a wide audience. Currently based in Albuquerque, the band has garnered attention locally including performances at Hyperactive, Expo New Mexico, Civic Plaza, to name a few.
